Our founder, Avichay Bokobza, started HeroTec in 2019 with a Ford F-150, a welding kit, and a belief that homeowners deserved better. After years of hands-on work in welding, fabrication, and automation, he had seen how rushed jobs and poor follow-up left gates unsafe or unreliable. His solution was simple: combine old-school craftsmanship with cutting-edge automation and treat every customer like a neighbour.
From the beginning, Avichay answered late-night emergency calls without charging extra, fixed gates in the rain, and offered free safety inspections to earn trust. Those early efforts built a reputation for reliability and neighbourly care. His one-man mobile workshop has since grown into a certified team servicing over 1,000 gates and garage doors across Southern California.
By 2024, HeroTec had expanded from Los Angeles to Thousand Oaks and Rancho Cucamonga, maintaining strong community roots, including Avichay’s role as a local youth soccer coach.

Our mission is to enhance properties, protect families, and improve daily convenience.
We live this mission through three pillars:
You’ll often find Avichay on-site welding a custom gate, fine-tuning a safety sensor, or walking a client through new controls. Because we live in the same neighbourhoods we serve, punctuality, follow-up calls, and neighbourly service are part of our DNA.
Our technicians are cross-trained in welding, low-voltage wiring, and safety compliance drills, in addition to ongoing brand-specific education through the LiftMaster Training Academy, DoorKing seminars, and Viking workshops. Weekly toolbox talks keep the crew sharp on both technical updates and safety procedures.
We follow the Clean-Leave Standard; every job site is left cleaner than we found it, from sweeping driveways to wiping down gates. Small courtesy fixes, like tightening a loose hinge, are done without charge.
